Alex Edelman is a Jewish-American comedian most famous for his solo comedy shows, particularly “Millenial,” which won the Edinburgh Comedy Award for Best Newcomer in 2014, the first American to win the award since 1997.
Born into a Modern Orthodox Jewish household in Boston, Massachusetts, he went on to study English at New York University in Manhattan. After graduating, he spent a year at a yeshiva, an Orthodox Jewish seminary, in Jerusalem and went on to found the Off the Wall Comedy Club. He began his stand-up career at the age of 15, appearing on programs like "The Late Show with Stephen Colbert," "Conan," and "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon." His material focuses heavily on millennial culture, Jewish identity, and politics.
