Zoleka Mandela is an author, campaigner, and breast cancer survivor. At the moment, Zoleka is the ambassador for the Child Health Initiative (CHI), which is spearheading a global movement for adolescent health. In honor of her daughter Zenani Mandela, who died at the age of 13 in a car accident in Johannesburg, she also runs a successful campaign for action on traffic injuries and safety. The United Nations Millennium Campaign and the United Nations Development Program have recognized Zoleka's accomplishments in her campaign, and she has spoken to the UN General Assembly about her campaign's issues. Zoleka is motivated to advocate for humanitarian problems as a devoted social activist by her grandfather Nelson Mandela, grandmother Winne Mandela, and their family.
