Zendee Rose Tenerefe is a Filipino singer who rose to fame after being dubbed the "random girl of SM Megamall" on YouTube. She was born on June 21, 1991. She had already competed in a number of singing competitions in the Philippines prior to her discovery.
It went viral almost instantly after a YouTube user uploaded a video of herself performing Jennifer Holiday's And I Am Telling You. The video inspired Jessica Soho of the GMA Network magazine show Kapuso Mo to search for her, and when she was discovered, she was featured in one of their episodes.
