American actor Zachary John Quinto (born June 2, 1977) is best known for his appearances as Gabriel "Sylar" Gray on NBC's Heroes and Adam Kaufman on 24. He was just chosen to play a young Spock in the 2008 movie Star Trek. Half-Italian, half-Irish Quinto was born in Pittsburgh and raised in the adjacent town of Green Tree, Pennsylvania.
Quinto spent his formative years at Camp Notre Dame in Fairview, Pennsylvania. When he was younger, he performed with the Pittsburgh Civic Light Opera mini-stars. In the Keystone Oaks school system, he went to Jay Neff Middle School until the eighth grade and Aiken Elementary School until the fifth grade.
