Zachary Zach The creator and illustrator of the webcomic Saturday Morning Breakfast Cereal is Alexander Weinersmith. He is the creator of two more webcomics, including Snowflakes, co-written by James Ashby and Chris Jones, and the finished Captain Excelsior with illustrator Chris Jones. Along with James Ashby and Marty Weinersmith, he co-founded the sketch comedy troupe SMBC Theater in 2009.
Although Weinersmith has been creating comics since his high school years, his online debut came in 2000. In his early works, there are typically three or more panels, but in 2002, he began to focus more on one-panel comics.
