Andrea and Daniel Roerig welcomed Zach into the world in Montpelier, Ohio. Along with Emily, Zach has a younger sister who was born in 1989. Zach studied modeling at the Cleveland Barbizon School of Modeling before joining the International Model and Talent Association and signing with his late talent manager.
He earned his high school diploma while participating in football and wrestling at Montpelier High School. Zach grew up helping his father and grandparents make gravestones at Fackler Monuments. On As the World Turns, Zach played Casey Hughes from January 18th, 2005, through May 2nd, 2007.
