Zachary Zach Barth is most recognized for his work on the randomly generated block-based environment deformation and construction mechanisms in Infiniminer, which subsequently inspired games like Minecraft. He has also designed puzzle games with an engineering theme. Barth claimed that although he began making games at a young age, he didn't acquire the necessary abilities until he joined the game creation group at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI). At RPI, Barth pursued computer science and engineering in computer systems. He was one of three students in charge of the multidisciplinary CapAbility Games Research Project team that RPI and the Center for Disability Services in Albany, New York, collaborated on. Despite the poor Flash development environment, four of these use it to make them cross-platform. For easier development, the second one is built on NET. Because Barth believes that C# is the finest programming language ever created, SpaceChem also used NET.
