Yuval Levin is the head of the American Enterprise Institute's social, cultural, and constitutional studies program and the editor of National Affairs, a quarterly journal of essays on domestic policy and politics. He is also a contributing editor of National Review and the Hertog Fellow at the Ethics and Public Policy Center.

He has worked as a member of the White House domestic policy team (under President George W. Bush) as well as a legislative aide. He is the author of The Great Debate: Edmund Burke, Thomas Paine, and the Birth of Right and Left, which has appeared in a number of periodicals. He earned his Ph.D.
