Young Fathers Biography

Simply said, Young Fathers may be categorized as a lo-fi R&B trio, but they don't quite fit in that category due to their diverse range of alternative rap, indie pop, reggaeton, and electronic music. Alloysious Massaquoi, Kayus Bankole, and G. Hastings founded the band in Edinburgh, Scotland, in 2008, and they began playing in clubs when they were still in their teens. They eventually recorded their debut album, Inconceivable Child... Conceived, for Black Sugar Records. They soon signed with Anticon Records for the releases of Tape One (2012) and Tape Two (2013). In February 2014, they released their second full-length album, titled Dead, and it continued to build on their talent for combining original but harsh rhythms and sounds with sharp lyrics.
