Yoav Medan Biography

At InSightec Ltd. in Israel, where he works on MRI-guided guided focused ultrasound technology, Yoav Medan serves as Chief Systems Architect. Prior to this, he worked in the IBM Research Division for 17 years in management and research. He was also elected to the IBM Academy of Technology. In addition to lecturing on avionic systems for the faculty of aeronautical engineering and mentoring young entrepreneurs as part of the Technion Alumni Technion for Life program, Medan has taught in the EE department at the Technion Israel Institute of Technology. He intends to take a sabbatical in 2012 while serving as an associate professor in the Technion's BioMedical Engineering department and its Autonomous Systems Program.
