Yasmina Reza, who was born in 1959, first attended Paris X University before transferring to the Jacques Lecoq Drama School. She started out as an actor in France, where she performed in a lot of modern plays as well as ones by Molière Marivaux and Sacha Guitry.
She wrote Conversations after a Burial in 1987 with the intention of performing it in France, and she was honored with numerous awards, including the prestigious Molière Award for best author. After being performed in France, the drama was translated and presented in South America and Europe.
