Fuck Cancer, a nonprofit dedicated to cancer prevention and early diagnosis, was founded by Yael Cohen. Cohen was raised in Vancouver, British Columbia, despite being born in South Africa. She studied political science at the University of British Columbia and then worked in finance after receiving her bachelor's degree.
In order to stop cancer diagnoses at a late stage, Cohen founded the charity Fuck Cancer after her mother's breast cancer diagnosis in 2009. Cohen has established herself as a respected philanthropist, social entrepreneur, and advocate for health via her work with this organization.
