Xerxes was born with cerebral palsy, a condition that impairs muscular coordination, but he has learned to accept his obstacles and spiritedly urges others to do the same. He has a distinctive outlook that he uses to transform his difficulties into wonderful possibilities.
He encountered significant opposition 15 years ago when trying to land his dream job as a collegiate tennis coach, and he made a promise to himself not to allow prejudice and discrimination to stand in his way. Xerxes began writing and publishing his poems on his internal and external struggles as a way of seeking answers.
