Xenia competed in season 1 of The Voice, reaching the final eight and finishing second on Team Blake. She auditioned with the song Breakeven and was judged by Cee Lo Green and Blake Shelton, but selected Blake as her coach in the end. She went on to win the battle round phase against Sara Oromchi, performing a duet of I'll Stand By You. Price Tag and The Man Who Can't Be Moved, both studio versions of her live performances, peaked on the Billboard Hot 100. Price Tag debuted at 116 on the Bubbling Under Hot 100 chart before rising to 99 the following week on the Hot 100 charts. Xenia had her first local performance at the 17th annual Temecula Valley International Film and Music Festival, singing her version of Breakeven by The Script, which was her debut song on The Voice, thanks to the effect of her appearance on The Voice. Xenia was also able to finish performance with singer-songwriter Jon McLaughlin at Los Angeles Key Club in late December 2011 thanks to her old instructor Blake Shelton. Maybe It's Over was their duet. Her influences include Jon McLaughlin, Billy Joel, and Johnny Cash. Her debut EP, Sing You Home, was released on December 20, 2011, by Universal Republic Records. It reached #3 on the iTunes Pop rankings and #10 on the overall iTunes charts.
