Club W was born out of the founders' personal encounter with a flaw in the retail wine industry. As a frequent wine consumer (though by no means an oenophile), Xander thought brick-and-mortar establishments were either overwhelming for shopping at supermarkets and big-box stores or awkward and pretentious at wine shops. Furthermore, Xander felt completely underwhelmed by the options for learning about and purchasing wine online as a card-carrying member of the Amazon generation. Xander received his degree from the University of Colorado's Leeds School of Business. Together with his wife and daughter, he presently resides in Southern California.
