Since Wonho Chung was raised in Amman, Jordan, his upbringing was entirely Arab. He relocated to Dubai the next year to pursue a media career after earning his degree from Applied Science University.
When Showtime Arabia called Chung in November 2007 about joining the Axis of Evil comedy tour as the Korean they were searching for, Chung's comic career officially got underway. They eventually opted for a South Korean who speaks Arabic in place of their original choice of a North Korean to complete the Axis.
