An Australian hard rock band well known as Wolfmother was created in 2000 by drummer Myles Heskett, vocalist and guitarist Andrew Stockdale; and bassist and keyboardist Chris Ross. Wolfmother is currently an incomplete band composed of, Ian Peres (bass, keyboards), Vin Steele (rhythm guitar) and Stockdale.
In October 2005, Wolfmother released their self-titled debut album which peaked at number three on the Australian ARIA Albums Chart. The album was also a commercial success which won the 2006 ARIA Awards for Best Breakthrough Album and Best Rock Album and the 2005 J Award.
