Willie Desjardins, the current head coach of the Vancouver Canucks of the National Hockey League, was born on February 11, 1957. (NHL). Desjardins was the associate head coach of the Dallas Stars of the National Hockey League from 2010 to 2012 before being named head coach of its American Hockey League franchise in Cedar Park, Texas in June 2012.
He guided his Texas Stars to their first Calder Cup Championship on June 17, 2014.
