William Langewiesche is an American novelist and journalist who spent many years as a commercial airline pilot. He's been the foreign reporter for Vanity Fair magazine since 2006. Langewiesche is the magazine Vanity Fair's foreign reporter, a post he has held since 2006.
He was formerly the national correspondent for The Atlantic Monthly, where he was nominated for eight National Magazine Awards in a row.
