Former assistant district attorney turned best-selling author William Landay is also a lawyer. Landay worked as an assistant district attorney in Middlesex County, Massachusetts, for seven years before he turned to write. He graduated from Boston College Law School and Yale University.
The British Crime Writers Association recognized his first book, Mission Flats, as the best debut crime novel of 2003 by awarding it the John Creasey Dagger (now known as the New Blood Dagger).
