Former policy advisor to President Clinton and several presidential candidates, William A. Galston. Galston is an authority on domestic politics, elections, and political campaigns. Designing a new social contract and the effects of political polarisation are the main topics of his current study. In addition, he teaches in College Park at the University of Maryland.
Prior to January 2006, he served as the Saul Stern Professor, Acting Dean, and Executive Director of the National Commission on Civic Renewal, which was co-chaired by Sam Nunn and William Bennett. In the areas of political theory, public policy, and American politics, Galston is the author of nine books and more than 100 articles.
