Will is an additional donor to Planet Labs Inc. He is responsible for establishing the vision and designing the organizational structure of Planet Labs. Will also fuels advancements in cutting-edge science and technology. Prior to joining Planet, Labs Will worked as a scientist for NASA/USRA, where he helped to organize the NASA Ames Research Center's Small Spacecraft Office. He worked on a few missions, including PhoneSat as a Co-Principal Investigator, the Science Team for the LCROSS lunar impactor mission, and the strategic lunar orbiter as a System Engineer. He served as the specialized lead on projects to clean up flotsam and jetsam in orbit. Will has published more than 30 papers in logical publications, such as Science magazine, and he has written a variety of opinion pieces for the New York Times and Boston Globe about various topics. Will earned a Ph.D. in physics from Oxford University and a master's degree in physics with a focus on space science and technology from Leicester University. Will worked as a postdoctoral fellow at Harvard and George Washington Universities.
