Will Arnett was born on May 4, 1970, to Alexandra Arnett and E. James Arnett in Toronto, Canada. The Arnett family had considerable affluence; Will's father worked as a corporate legal advisor before rising to the position of president and CEO of Molson Breweries. Arnett has a younger sibling in addition to two older twin sisters.
He played hockey as a child and attended French-speaking schools; he is still a fan of the Toronto Maple Leafs of the National Hockey League. Arnett, who was troublesome as a youngster, was transferred to an all-young men's school when he was 12 years old. There, he was often caught smoking.
