Kills was up in The Bronx and decided early on that he had to be an artist, at least until he started taking acting courses. He first enrolled in the High School for the Performing Arts, but after his mother's divorce, they returned to Orlando. In the long run, Kills would leave Jones High School in 1980. Snipes performed a musical performance centered on rivalry and celebrations while he was in Florida. In 1985, he received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the State University of New York College at Purchase after enrolling there. He also had a role in the Michael Jackson song video Bad, which was released in September 1987 and featured a prosaic but passionate character.
