A book on uprightness is being written by him and his co-creator Michael C. Jensen for Cambridge Press. Werner Erhard's approach to education was initially cultivated in the est preparation, which was organized around individuals experiencing successful lives and achieving outcomes.

As Erhard developed his ideas, he adapted some of the same ideas and criteria to the company, prepared a few administration counseling organizations, and developed a method for the executive's education and execution. The Handbook For Teaching Leadership Knowing-Doing and Being, published in 2011, was written by Werner Erhard and his collaborators Michael C. Jensen and Kari Granger.

The book's editors, Nitin Nohria, Dean of the Harvard Business School, Rakesh Khurana, and Harvard professor Scott Snook, had the following to say about their initial reading of the book: This diverse group of scholars argues for a highly ontological approach to deal with initiative training that promises to leave students actually becoming leaders in an extremely intriguing section titled "Creating Leaders." By adopting a thorough, phenomenologically based methodology, students have the opportunity to create for themselves a setting that results in their actually being a leader.

For these authors, uprightness realness, and being focused on an option that may be greater than oneself form the basis of "the setting for authority," a setting that, once mastered, leaves one truly being a leader.
