Since October 2008, Walter W. Bettinger II has served as president and CEO of The Charles Schwab Corporation. Concurrent with his nomination, he was appointed to The Charles Schwab Corporation's Board of Directors. Bettinger also serves on the boards of Charles Schwab & Co., Inc.

and Charles Schwab Bank, as well as the Board of Trustees for the Schwab managed mutual funds and exchange-traded funds. He was most recently president and chief operating officer of The Charles Schwab Corporation before taking on his present position.
