Vonda has been studying piano since she was seven years old, putting in between six and eight hours every day of practice. She also studied singing and acting before deciding to follow her passion for music. Shepherd began performing in LA bars, gaining a tiny local following and releasing her debut album, The Radical Light, for them.
She persisted in her profession, paying for the recording of her second album, It's Good Eve. Shepherd then relocated to New York, where he was signed for Ally McBeal by David E. Kelly, a personal fan.
