Vinny Lingham is Civic's co-founder and CEO. He was the founder and CEO of Gyft, a multifunctional gift voucher application that allows customers to purchase, deliver, and reclaim gift cards via their mobile device. He is also the founder of Yola.com, a web development and hosting firm that enables clients with no prior programming knowledge to establish websites. Vinny has received several awards, including Top Young ICT Entrepreneur in Africa (2006) and Men's Health Best Man (2009), as well as ICT Personality of the Year in South Africa (2008). He has recently founded Clicks2Customers, which was named South Africa's Top Technology Company in 2006. He recently worked on promoting warning sheets for Nasdaq-listed Valueclick, and Yahoo was named an Endeavor High Impact Entrepreneur in 2006. Vinny considered pursuing a B.Com (Information Systems) degree at the University of Cape Town.
