Vincent Hong-Sui Lo Biography

Vincent Hong Sui Lo created the Shui On Group in 1971 and serves as its Chairman and CEO. He is also the Chairman and CEO of Shui On Land Limited (SOL) and the Chairman of Shui On Construction And Materials Limited (SOCAM). SOCAM, which was listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange in 1997, is involved in construction, cement manufacture, property development, and venture capital investing in Hong Kong, Macau, and the Chinese Mainland. SOL is the Group's main property firm in China, and it was listed in Hong Kong in 2006. Mr. Lo was given the Gold Bauhinia Star (GBS) in 1998 and appointed Justice of the Peace by the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government in 1999. (HKSAR). He was granted an Honorary Citizen of Shanghai in 1999. He was named the Hong Kong Business Awards' 2001 Businessman of the Year, the Hong Kong Institute of Directors' Director of the Year Award in 2002, and the French government's Chevalier des Arts et des Lettres in 2005. Mr. Lo has been involved in community service in addition to his business activities. He was involved in the planning for the establishment of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. He is currently a member of the Chinese Peoples Political Consultative Conference's Tenth National Committee, Vice Chairman of the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce, President of the Shanghai-Hong Kong Council for the Promotion and Development of the Yangtze, Economic Adviser to the Chongqing Municipal Government, and Honorary Life President of the Business and Professionals Federation of Hong Kong, among other positions.
