Vince Van Patten Biography

He is the eldest child of performer Dick Van Patten and his wife Pat n�e Poole, a prior June Taylor artist. Vince was thrust into the spotlight for the first time at the age of nine, at the direction of his father's operator. Before Dick took a position in the TV show Arnie and relocated his family from Long Island to Los Angeles, he aired over thirty different advertisements for Colgate toothpaste. Vince's career as a child entertainer blossomed there. Throughout the 1970s, he appeared in almost three dozen outstanding TV shows, including Bonanza High Chaparral Medical Center Adam 12 The Courtship of Eddie's Father and a variety of TV motion films. At the age of 16, he landed a typical role in Apple's Way, a CBS arrangement in which he portrayed the kid of a model who left the big city to raise his family in the little town of Appleton, Iowa. After three years, Vince co-starred in The Bionic Boy, a two-hour ABC spin-off of the hugely successful Lee Majors film The Six Million Dollar Man. He enrolled in the clique-exemplary Rock 'n' Roll High School in 1978. Vince is the current presenter and reporter for the widely aired World Poker Tour, although his work as a poker manager is only one aspect of a varied career as an on-screen character creator executive and world-class tennis player. More recently, he has collaborated on an advertisement for the online poker site Hollywood Poker with comedian and poker enthusiast James Woods. Vince can be found playing often at Hollywood Poker and contributes significantly to the site. He also appears in advertisements for Milwaukee's Potawatomi Bingo Casino.
