The Binghamton University Alumni Newsletter meeting. From Basketball Dreams to Film Hopes Victor Williams earned a bachelor's degree in 1992. Victor Williams never imagined being a successful artist when he was a little boy growing up in Brooklyn. He preferred to see himself merely playing basketball at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill like the legendary Michael Jordan.
Things didn't work out as planned; instead, they were better. The former Binghamton University student has transformed into a TV champion with a regular position in the enduring CBS comedy King of Queens, not a basketball champion. The prime-time program, which is presently in its second season on CBS and in syndication, has steadily improved in the ratings.
