American novelist and short story writer Veronica Roth is best known for the Divergent trilogy—Dirigent, Insurgent, and Allegiant—which debuted at the top of the New York Times bestseller list. After attending Carleton College for a while, she transferred to Northwestern University to enroll in their experimental writing program. In 2011, she married photographer, Nelson Fitch. They reside near Chicago.
