American actress Vanessa Marcil is one of them. She is most known for her television appearances as Sam Marquez on Las Vegas, Gina Kincaid on Beverly Hills, 90210, and Brenda Barrett on General Hospital. Before obtaining the character of Brenda Barrett on the soap opera General Hospital in 1992, Marcil appeared in a number of theatre performances.
For her performance, she received three Daytime Emmy Award nominations (in 1997, 1998, and 2003), and she took home the prize for Outstanding Supporting Actress in that year. She won the Outstanding Lead Actress honor at the Soap Opera Digest Awards in February 1998.
