Vanessa Hollingshead is an actress and stand-up comedian from the United States who has been on several comedy shows such as Comedy Central Presents, Live At Jongleurs and The Jim Breuer Show. She has also appeared in a number of films, including a brief role in Ghost Dog: The Way of the Samurai, released in 1999.
After years as an office temp, Hollingshead performed at the conclusion of a four-hour open mic night in 1994, remarking at the time that even Richard Pryor wouldn't be funny at this stage. Hollingshead delivered a twelve-minute set at the Comedy Strip on Second Avenue in New York nine months later.
