Deeply integrated with Citi's businesses, Citi Ventures supports innovative research through supporting venture-funded development and lab systems, key partnerships, and lean startup-based projects. Vanessa recently managed advertising for Citi's North American Consumer Bank before taking the position of CIO. She previously led venture-contributing and essential development efforts for Citi Ventures. She worked as a business visionary at U.S. Adventure Partners (USVP) before joining Citibank in 2010. Before becoming USVP, Vanessa served as Yahoo's Head of NA Marketing and then SVP of Insights, where she was in charge of developing and carrying out the business's buyer information method. At McKinsey and Company, she was already a Partner. She was listed on Institutional Investor's Fintech Finance 35 list in both 2015 and 2016 and was considered a Global Corporate Venturing Rising Star in 2016 (ranking #3).
