The desire to create interiors was ingrained in this native New Yorker. Keeping the house in order and in elegance as the oldest of seven children was no easy feat. Valerie remodeled their bedrooms entirely on her own, making all of the bedspreads, drapes, and cushions, as well as fake painting color wash on the walls and ceilings.
Valerie's signature style is her Garage to Glam method, which shows how you can design for less money by looking at products and locations in ways other than their fundamental use.
