Valentin was born in Vienna and studied accounting and finance at the Vienna University of Economics (Austria), the Sophia University in Tokyo (Japan), and the University of St. Gallen (Switzerland). He worked in investment banking/mergers and acquisitions (German Bank) during his research, keeping technique counseling in mind (Roland Berger).

In 2013, he founded Number26, which had as its goals the traditional banking sector and a method for making spare payments and money transfers.
