She created and performed a comedy piece in an acting class during her first year at Boston's Emerson College. She had a blog she used to communicate called Uuna Goes Sledding. She received a and some laughter for it. She started acting out her Uuna persona in Boston parody clubs and other settings about mid-year.
It was the perfect way for her to start writing satire. She had the opportunity to experience what it was like to perform in clubs while hiding behind a persona for protection. Uuna spent some of the demonstration trying to get herself ready to deal with large crowds.
