Umar Rashad Ibn Abdullah-Johnson, also known as Jermaine Shoemake, is an American Black activist, school psychologist, social media personality, and motivational speaker. Known for his controversial viewpoints, he is a vocal Pan-Africanist who publicly condemns homosexuality and interracial marriage.
Johnson authored "Psycho-Academic Holocaust: The Special Education & ADHD Wars Against Black Boys," in which he argues that ADHD is often misdiagnosed in Black communities as a means to stigmatize black children. His critique extends to the American education system's treatment of Black students. Additionally, he was featured in the 2011 documentary "The Untold History of People of Aboriginal, Moor, and African Descent."
