Brooklyn-based photographer and director Tyler Mitchell works in these fields. He graduated from NYU's Tisch School of the Arts, and in 2015, he self-published his debut novel, El Paquete. For the September 2018 edition of Vogue, Mitchell captured Beyoncé on camera, making him the first African-American to photograph the magazine's cover.
Additionally, he has collaborated on projects with Solange Knowles, Marc Jacobs, Givenchy, and Converse. Mitchell has participated in group exhibits held by the Aperture Foundation and the Artsy Red Hook Labs Gallery. He was selected as an Art & Style recipient for the Forbes 30 Under 30 list in 2019.
