Turki Al Shehri is the head of the Saudi Arabian Ministry of Energy Industry and Mineral Resources (MEIM) Renewable Energy Project Development Office (REPDO). By 2023, the initiative wants to have 9.5 GW of renewable energy. After earning a B.Sc.
in electrical engineering from the University of South Florida, he started working for Saudi Aramco as an electrical engineer in 2002. Al Shehri has over 15 years of expertise in power systems and renewable energy, which he contributes to REPDO.
