Troy Roness overcame body dysmorphia, excessive exercise, and anorexia. In addition to being a speaker who supports eating disorders, he is the author of the 2018 book Unbroken: Journaled Reflections on Recovery. After a guest appearance on Dr. Phil in 2009, Troy's healing process got underway. Troy considers himself a Christian and attributes some of his rehabilitation to his faith.
Since 2013, Troy has served as a professor in the college of education and health sciences at Minot State University in North Dakota.
