R.J. Antsy McClain and Stephen Foster Fleming III, two young guys, emerge from the environment of a tiny town. In Pine View Heights, four trailers down from one another grew up third cousins twice removed Antsy and Flem. When McClain was 14 years old, a strange event involving a Ronco Buttoneer claimed the life of his father. In a family of twelve children, Flem was born as the sixth child. From an early age, he and his brother Mackrelle (number 7) battled out to be the middle kid in the family. Flem has relied on his passion for bowling and comic books throughout his adult life to help him cope with the pressure of being one of two middle children in a family.
