Professor of pathology, immunology, and microbiology and associate director of the One Health Institute, Tracey Goldstein holds a Ph.D. She is in charge of the Marine Ecosystem Health Diagnostic and Surveillance Laboratory, which she founded in 2007, as well as the One Health Institute Laboratory. As Co-Principal Investigator for the PREDICT project, which is sponsored by USAID, Dr.
Goldstein oversees the project's pathogen detection and laboratory capacity-building goals. She continues to research illnesses in marine mammals and other wildlife populations and is a member of the NOAA Fisheries Working Group on Marine Mammal Unusual Mortality Events. She received both her Ph.D. in Comparative Pathology and her B.S. in Aquatic Biology from UC Santa Barbara, respectively.
