Tom is the Group Executive Vice President (Ret), and he is in charge of JCP.com, Corporate Strategy and Planning, Digital Ventures, and Information Technology. In 2006, Tom began working at JCPenney as its executive vice president and chief information officer.
Tom formerly held the positions of Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer at Southwest Airlines and a partner at The Feld Group. He was the CIO of Frito-Lay, a PepsiCo business, before this. Tom was named a "Premiere 100 CIO" by Information Week in 2006 and awarded the 2010 MIT Sloan CIO Symposium Award for Innovation Leadership.
