The Richard and Florence Koplow - James Tullis Professor of Primary Care and General Medicine at Harvard Medical School is Tom Delbanco, MD. He developed and oversaw the division of general medicine and primary care at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston for more than 30 years, and he served as its chief until 2002. Dr.
Delbanco supervised the creation of one of the first primary care practice and teaching programs in an academic health facility. He received his education at Harvard College and the Columbia College of Physicians and Surgeons.
