In 2013, Salesforce.com purchased ExactTarget for $2.7B. Todd oversaw all human resources, risk management/legal, and real estate/facilities operations throughout his almost seven years with ExactTarget. Todd helped the firm develop from a private, 200-person, single-site operation to a public corporation with 3,000+ workers spread over 15+ worldwide offices.

Under his direction, ExactTarget garnered multiple honors for being a great place to work and Kenexa named the company's culture "Best-In-Class" for employee engagement. The company's distinctive culture developed into such a distinct competitive advantage that ExactTarget acknowledged it in its S1 filing, marking the first time culture has been included as a differentiator in any IPO file.

Todd frequently speaks about employee engagement at professional gatherings. In addition to the Resolve Conference, where he achieved a 93.8% audience rating, he has spoken at events for the Young Presidents' Organization and World Presidents' Organization.

Todd works part-time as an adjunct professor at Butler University College of Business and writes about the creation, maintenance, and evolution of cultures for a variety of media. He also sits on the boards of Christian Theological Seminary, Special Olympics of Indiana, Indiana Secondary Market for Education, and Nextech in addition to the Butler University Board of Visitors.

When Todd isn't consulting, instructing, or spending time with his family, he likes writing for Forefront magazine and working as First Person Advisors' Entrepreneur-in-Residence. He has the opportunity to interact with and learn from thousands of business experts throughout the world through his work with these organizations.

Todd has a JD from the Indiana University School of Law and a B.A. in Political Science from Indiana University Bloomington. With his wife and four boys, he presently resides in Westfield, Indiana. He likes going to Pacers and Colts games, traveling, and spending time with his family.
