Tituss Burgess, a native of Athens and a graduate of the University of Georgia, has made it to the Netflix stage. At Cedar Shoals High School in Athens, Burgess vigorously pursued his love of drama. Burgess moved to New York City after receiving his Bachelor of Arts in music from the University of Georgia and was warmly welcomed by Broadway.
He featured in Jersey Boys as Hal Miller and made his Broadway debut as Eddie in the musical Good Vibrations in 2005. In 2007, he created the character of Sebastian the Crab for the musical The Little Mermaid, and in 2009, he played Nicely-Nicely Johnson in the Guys and Dolls revival. Burgess also quickly discovered his specialty in television acting.
