Tina Roth Elsenberg Biography

Based in Brooklyn, New York; Swiss designer Tina Roth Eisenberg was born and raised in Speicher, Switzerland and she’s notable for founding the Swiss Miss design blog and studio recognized as “swissmiss” and “swiss-miss.” She is also the creator of TeuxDeux, Tattly, Friends Work Here and CreativeMornings. She studied communication design in Geneva, Switzerland and Munich, Germany and earned her degree in 1999 after attending high school in Trogen. Tina Roth Eisenberg interned at a small design studio in New York City and after three months, she was offered a full-time job at the studio which she accepted. In October 2008, Tina founded a monthly lecture series known as CreativeMornings. The lecture series extends to over 196 cities worldwide and receives 100 to 500 attendees in total. Roth-Eisenberg became a Design Director for Plumbdesign in 2008 which was later changed to Thinkmap during her time at the company. She also branded the Visual Thesaurus, made the first version of its website, shaped the user interface of the app and worked on all of the marketing material. In 2005, she founded a design blog and studio called swissmiss. The Times selected Swissmiss as one of the world's Top 50 design blogs. With her studio mates Evan Haas and Cameron Kozcon, Roth-Eisenberg created TeuxDeux, a to-do app. Eisenberg also started Studiomates, a co-working space in 2008 and founded an international breakfast lecture series in the same year known as CreativeMornings. She is the CEO and founder of a design temporary tattoo startup called Tattly. In 2013 at South by Southwest (SXSW), Eisenberg was featured as a keynote speaker and also at Adobe MAX in 2017. GDUSA added her on its list of People To Watch in the same year. Eisenberg also served as mentor for Shopify’s Build a Business Competition in 2014. She operated a co-working space in Boerum Hill, Brooklyn referred to as Friends Work Here in April 2015.
