Tina Gordon made her Busch Series debut at Darlington Raceway in September 2001. With a 42nd starting position, she drove a locally based #96 Colby Furniture Chevrolet into the field. However, due to a lack of complete funding, the team elected to start and then park, finishing 43rd after only one lap.
The following race was the most successful of her career. In the 2003 Talladega Superspeedway event, she drove the #22 Bost Motorsports Chevy. Tina was fortunate to dodge a big pileup on lap 4 after starting 38th. Tina then drove home in 10th place, having completed all but one lap.
